Damn your right, having actually looked at the picture its from 2007 - Australia first corner specifically where Lewis overtakes Alonso for the first of many times in his first ever GP.
Seeing as these pictures are from the 2008 F1 season they are clear not photos from the game which would be using 2010 model F1 cars.

Please answer me this: Why do we need NPD etc to count sold to consumer sales if Sony has better info that can do this? Why do Sony never question NPD when NPD only sees 40% of the market? Surely Sony would have more accurate numbers to correct NPD if NPD happens to undertrack Sony's products?

All sales companies figures are estimates whether it be NPD, Media Create or Vgchatz. Question is how good ar eth eestimates?
The only 100% data is from the companies themselves. Look for financial reports (quarterly results) and the numbers that the big 3 have sold to retailers is there. If you want sold to consumer estimates then NPD, media create, vgchartz etc will have to make do.

Halo 3 sold 11 million, so it can compete in numbers.
Anyway, on-topic good for Sony, should be the PS3's biggest year. How good it will be could depend alot on the move vs kinect battle that I have no interest in.
